I am a plant physiological ecologist. Broadly, I am interested in the interaction of plants with their environment, and how those interactions shape distributions of plants across large spatial scales. Specifically, I am presently investigating drivers of tree mortality through empirical study of physiological thresholds. I aim to connect the physiology of plant mortality to models of the Earth system.
